BridgeUp, is a College Prep Program, which builds a supportive network of students from under-served communities through developing cohorts of high school graduates who are prepared to thrive in college and career. The College Prep Program has created a network of safe spaces that allow students to come together to develop their individual passions and creativity, while helping them succeed both academically and socially. With the success of each student, the program aims to bridge the opportunity divide, close the achievement gap, and transform lives.
Each site is managed by a Helen Gurley Brown Education Fellow who serves as a mentor, educator, and skill builder to participants. Supervised by a Lead Tutor, Level I College Tutors will provide “Homework Help” directly to students and assist the Lead Tutor in implementing academic lessons and activities that are of high interest and relevance to the students served.
