The General Humanities Division serves the core research function of The New York Public Library as the central hub for researchers using our collections. Our staff works with researchers to identify materials, ensuring seamless access in our reading rooms and through this process helping to create new works of scholarship.
Reporting to the Managing Research Librarian of the General Humanities Division, the Librarian II provides excellent public service in the Bill Blass Catalog Room, Rose Main Reading Room and the Microforms Room. The position plays a role important in reference services. This staff member also plays a role in assisting visitors to the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building.
