  • Overview

    Under the general direction of the Senior Manager of Development Information and Operations, the Manager of Development Information manages The Raiser’s Edge business critical data and the complex automated system which tracks privately contributed revenues and relationships with nearly 500,000 Library donors and prospects.  As the primary liaison with programming staff, this position takes the lead on system troubleshooting as necessary. Data architecture, analysis, and reporting are major components of this position. Standards, business process, and communication are key to our work.

    Principal Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Senior Manager of Development Information & Operations, the Manager of Development Information will:

     

    • Lead on business critical reporting, data capture, & extraction from Dev information systems
    • SQL and API scripting for data reporting, extraction, and systems integration
    • Work closely with development staff creating customized and automated reporting as needed
    • Work to leverage technology to empower Dev fundraising operation
    • Primary liaison with programming staff; troubleshoot system inquiries
    • Supports the Development team in all aspects of their information needs
    • Work both independently and with the team
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 3 years or more experience with membership/fundraising campaigns using large donor databases

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Background in relational database management systems (SQL Server preferred)
    • Experience in troubleshooting systems inquiries and project management
    • Advanced knowledge of fund accounting; proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, pivot tables, and other applications
    • Knowledge of data analytics for fundraising
    • Knowledge of advanced reporting software (Crystal preferred)
    • Experience with API function and routines
    • Experience with cloud based data storage and hosted systems
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
    • Analytical Skills and the ability to anticipate user needs
    • Must be able to work as part of team

    Preferred Qualifications

    • NXT Fundraising system, including Sky API
    • Experience training users on automated systems
    • Experience in a campaign-level environment a plus
    • Interest and facility with learning new systems and software
